Dental Hygienist - Des Moines, Iowa

We are looking for a dedicated full-time Dental Hygienist to improve patient outcomes.

Job Description:

As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a key role in the growth and success of the Dental Hygienist division. Your primary focus will be to provide quality patient care and improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Patient Assessment: Conduct physical oral exams, take patient histories, and assess patient conditions.
  • Diagnosis & Treatment: Assist in identifying oral health conditions through examination and diagnostic tools; develop and implement preventive and therapeutic treatment plans under the supervision of a dentist.
  • Procedures: Perform dental cleanings, scaling, root planing, polishing, and fluoride treatments; take and process dental radiographs; apply sealants and other preventive materials.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, diet, and preventive care; provide individualized recommendations to promote long-term oral health and disease prevention.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with dentists, dental assistants, and administrative staff to coordinate patient care, share findings, and ensure high-quality, efficient service delivery.
Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygienist program.
  • Current Dental Hygienist license and BLS/ACLS certification.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and patient care skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) documentation and digital radiography.
